Some of these clinics are big days in the mountains. Expect 7-9 hours of movement, climbing and navigating difficult terrain, along with shifting winter weather conditions.

Intro to Ice

Days: Friday, Saturday

This climb is one of the shortest approaches in the Bighorn Basin and is a short 75-mile drive from Cody. It is a bit longer of a drive but the 15-minute approach to 20M of gorgeous ice is totally worth it. This ice climb is perfect for the beginner offering lots options to make it easier or harder.

Mixed Climbing Fundamentals

Days: Saturday

With multiple routes ranging in difficulty, this crag is the perfect venue for first-time mixed climbers and dry toolers.

This clinic will focus on the basic skills needed to follow a lead climber confidently. This includes footwork and tool placement, effective use of ice climbing gear and layering clothing, and key safety precautions.

Intro to Multi-Pitch - Triptych

Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

The approach to this climb winds through a narrow canyon filled with ice. Climbs get progressively more difficult the farther you go.

These clinics focus on the basic skills needed to follow a lead climber confidently. This includes footwork and tool placement, effective use of ice climbing gear and layering clothing, and key safety precautions.

Intro to Ice Women's-Specific Clinic

Days: Saturday

Learn the fundamentals of ice climbing in a supportive environment. This clinic is designed for brand new climbers and those with limited experience either ice or rock climbing. We will cover everything you need to know from adjusting and putting on your gear to climbing movement, flow and staying safe. Emphasis will be placed on terrain awareness/ice assessment as well as how to climb efficiently and preserving energy on lower-angle ice flows. 

We’ll cover a range of techniques to become a better ice climber and combine that with hands-on practice and coaching on ice rated W2-W4.

Cancellation Policy

We do not offer refunds, but we will gladly defer your clinics to the following year if you have a life circumstance or injury that prevents you from attending. Please email us prior to 12/20/24 for deferrals.
